Network Definitions
Emory's medical plans offer three network options for the Aetna POS, Aetna HDHP and BCBS-GA PPO plans. Aetna HRA plan does not have a core network but you receive a 10% discount if you use an Emory Provider.
Core Network
Core Network providers give you the maximum
benefit available under the plan, with lower
co-pays, co-insurance and deductibles.
Core Network hospitals include:
- Emory Crawford Long Hospital
- Emory University Hospital
- Emory Johns Creek Hospital
- Emory Eastside Medical Center
- Emory Adventist Hospital
|
- Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta
(Egleston and Scottish Rite)
- Wesley Woods Hospital
- Northside Hospital
(Johnson Ferry Road
location only)
- Newton Medical Center
|
Core Network physicians include:
- Emory physicians
- Other participating physicians as specified
by each plan
To locate a participating Core physician or facility,
contact the appropriate network:
Note: The Core Network does not apply to the Aetna HealthFund (HRA).
However, you receive a 10% discount if you use an Emory provider. |
In-Network
Providers that are part of the Aetna and/or the
BCBS plan networks provide coverage at In-Network levels. The co-pays, co-insurance and deductibles are higher than with the Core Network.
To locate a participating physician or facility, contact the appropriate network:
Out-of-Network
Providers that are not participating with either the Aetna POS, Aetna HDHP, Aetna
HealthFund (HRA) or BCBS-GA PPO are considered Out-of-Network. The co-pays,
co-insurance and deductibles are the highest, and the costs of services can be higher than
Core and In-Network.
