Emory employees can contact OPTUMHEALTH, (formerly United Behavioral Health), a team of experienced psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical nurse specialists, and licensed counselors with broad expertise in treating children, adolescents, adults and families.

Eligibility

All employees who are enrolled in the the POS Medical Plan (Aetna), the PPO Medical Plan (BCBS of GA), Aetna HealthFund (HRA) or the HDHP Health Plan (Aetna) are eligible. Behavioral Health for the Aetna HealthFund (HRA) and HDHP Health Plan (Aetna) plan is administered by Aetna and may have different coverage levels. How to Enroll

No enrollment is necessary for Behavioral Mental Health assistance once you are enrolled in a Health Insurance Plan.

Locate a Provider

When you need behavioral mental health assistance, contact OptumHealth at (877) 237-8575 to locate an in-network provider. You may also use a provider outside the network; however, the benefits cost are a different rate.

Note:

You do not need a referral from your personal care physician (PCP).

Pre-Certification

Pre-certification/continued stay review is a program designed to help you and your dependents avoid unnecessary or excessively long hospital stays. For mental health or substance abuse admissions, contact OptumHealth at (877) 237-8575.

Submit a Claim

For core in-network and in-network visits, submit your claim through your heath care plan.

For out-of-network visits, submit your claim online:

Log into OptumHealth using your Group Access code 11370
- (skip this step if you log in via the Emory Benefits Site)
Click "Go to Self Service".
Click "Submit a Claim" in the Self Service Area text box.
Complete your registration.
Using your billing statement, enter information into the claim form.
Review your completed claim.
Click "Submit Claim".

For out-of-network visits, you may also print a OptumHealth Claim Form
