What is the Employee Referral Program?
The Employee Referral Program is an opportunity to earn a bonus, help a friend or peer find a rewarding career opportunity and ensure we continue to employ highly qualified people. As an employee, you have inside knowledge about your profession and about what it means to work at Emory Healthcare or Emory University . The Employee Referral Program is a way for us to reward you for referring qualified employees and helping us fill open positions.

Remember, in order to receive the bonus, your name must be identified as the referee prior to the qualified candidate being offered a position and/or hired. Employees are eligible for the referral fee after the candidate has been hired and remains in the position for at least 90 days.

Am I eligible for the Employee Referral Program bonus if I refer a previous employee?
No, previous employees who are interested in being rehired with Emory Healthcare or Emory University cannot be referred for participation in the Employee Referral Program.

Are Employee Referral Program bonuses taxable?
Yes, all referral bonuses are considered compensation according to Federal tax guidelines, therefore, they are taxable.

If I resign before I earn my referral bonus, but the employee is still employed for the appropriate amount of time, do I still get my money? No, referral fees will not be paid to separated employees. Only active employees, in a regular full-time or part-time status will be eligible for referral bonus payouts.
